Mohammad Zubair condemns Daesh for using his photograph to spread disharmony

37 year old Mohammed Zubair is the man captured in the iconic photograph by Reuter’s Danish Siddiqui in which you can see Zubair hunched over as he gets assaulted with swords and iron rods. Barkha Dutt meets Zubair whose photograph was also used by ISIS for propoganda. “Zulm Hai” he says on ISIS, “Imagine exploiting someone’s suffering like this.” Through tears, he says he forgives the men who did this to him, in the hope that some “humanity will be relearnt by them”
